How to Manage a Family Member in Diabetic Crisis until EMS Arrival

Intro to Instructional Design Course                                                 Spring 2018

How to Manage a Family Member in Diabetic Crisis Until EMS Arrival. The purpose of this project is to design an instructional plan where the target audience will be trained with the knowledge required to assist a person with a diabetic crisis until EMS arrives at the scene. Other classmates and I created the project.  The project allowed us to put into practice the instructional design elements as; needs analysis, audience analysis, learning objectives. The Instructional design plan was broken down into nine steps.

Working with other classmates helped in the elaboration of this project, working collaboratively as a group help to reach the goal of the course. This project helped to set up responsibilities among the team. Each individual was engaged in the project providing materials as sources, infographics, quizzes, presentations.  The project provided me the opportunity to further inquire into Gagne's Nine Events of Instruction providing the materials for the training. The materials required for the execution of the project are the following, a laptop, access to the internet, access to the storyboard. Alcohol pads, glucometer, an orange, lancets and the evaluation form for the instructor.
